Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has admitted he has no more money to invest in Jamie’s Italian after pumping millions of pounds from his own savings to bailout the struggling restaurant chain.
The Jamie’s Italian chain teetered on the edge of bankruptcy last year before the chef injected 12.7million pounds of his savings into the business.
Now, the chef has claimed in two new interviews that if any of his restaurants needed financial support he would no longer be capable of providing it.
“I haven’t got any more. I tried to do the right thing, I’ve never been paid by the restaurant group, I’ve always reinvested. My living was always the other side,” Oliver told the Mail on Sunday
“There’s a point where I can’t put the other side of the business at risk as well and the people who work there.”
