A man suspected in a shooting that killed five and critically wounded a teenage girl in North Las Vegas on Monday night killed himself after officers tracked him down Tuesday morning, police said.
Officers responded to an apartment shortly after 10 p.m. Monday on reports of a shooting and found two women wounded who were later pronounced dead, police said. They were in their early 40s and late 50s.
Detectives then discovered a 13-year-old girl at the apartment who was wounded. The child is in critical condition at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, police said.
At a nearby apartment, officials found two other women in their mid 20s and a man in his early 20s who had been shot. They were declared dead at the scene, officials said.
